lyrics

I remember the stupid things I did in my youth. I would turn into a super man, just to clean my room. But anyone who knows me knows that I didn't pick up a thing. I would retreat to my phone booth so I could spring triumphant again.

Is that what's happening here? So enthused with the process that we've forgotten all about results? It doesn't matter now. It doesn't matter at all. Can we all agree that this just sucks?

I remember the stupid thing I thought as a kid: my mom hung with dinosaurs because she once told me she did. Is that what's happening here? So quick to believe what's cool that we've forgotten all about what's true. It doesn't matter now. It doesn't matter at all. Can we all agree that this just sucks?

We're searching for parallels to when we were kids. Is there some kind of link there? I suppose there is. Is that what's happening here? A fervent search for an answer. Our obsession: to keep asking why. It doesn't matter now. It doesn't matter at all. Can we all agree that this just sucks?
